Troll Trilogy

I know you must think I'm a nerd, but I absolutely LOVE fantasy and science fiction if you haven't noticed. When I first read the synopsis of a trilogy of Trylle, I thought there was a chance that I wouldn't like the first book. As it turns out, the trilogy is pretty good. The author Amanda Hocking tells a story about a girl who is a troll, but doesn't know she is until she turns 18. She is raised by a human family because trolls are switched with human babies at birth.

The main character, Wendy, is tracked down by a member of the troll community and escorted to the place where all of the other trolls live. Now when I say troll I don't mean a ugly, hairy, big monster. These trolls look just like humans except they have special ablitites such as telekinesis and mind control.

Anyway, so Wendy is introduced to her troll life and hates it. It's completely different than her life with her human family and she misses her brother and Aunt.

She has to make a decision whether or not to grow up to be part of the troll community. There are fights, romance, and suspense. I plan on reading the second and third book. I'll make sure to keep you informed on how this story progresses.

It was slow during the first twenty pages, but after the character development and the plot line was shown, the story started to pick up pace. It became extremely suspenseful at the end of the book.

Look up "Switched" by Amanda Hocking.
