3 Trilogies That Will Trap you in Time

I have three trilogies that are a must read for this summer.

The first is "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo Series". It's about an odd girl named Lisbeth Salander who is extremely intelligent and somehow puts all of the puzzle pieces in her life together. She can worm her way out of any impossible situation and she can accomplish just about anything. She's an anti-social computer hacker who becomes the heroin of the series. Along her way she meets Mikael Blomkvist, who is a well known Swedish journalist. In the first book she helps him solve a murder case, while in the second he helps her escape being murdered herself. And in the third book, Blomkvist makes up a team of people to battle a corrupt section of the Swedish government in order to free Lisbeth from being locked away for the rest of her life.

The second trilogy is "Matched" by Ally Condie. It's about a girl named Cassie who lives in a controled society. Everyone's decisions are made for them so they have a "perfect" life. What she eats is decided for her, how much exercise she gets, where she works, and even her mate is decided for her. She is told that she will marry her best friend Xander, but when she looks at a disk that is supposed to give her information on Xander, another boy's face appears. (The girls and boys receive disks provided by the government so that they can get to know who their match is.) His name is Ky and after she see his face her life is changed forever. She begins to question the government's decision for her to marry Xander and she wonders if it's a mistake. She tries to break free from the control of the "perfect" life. Condie's second book "Crossed" is going to be released in November 2011. I can't wait! Go to her official book website and find your match. http://www.matched-book.com/

The third trilogy is the Chemical Garden Trilogy. The first book is called "Wither" by Lauren DeStefano. It's about a girl named Rhine who lives in a world where humans only live to be 20 and 25, girls die at age 20 and boys die at age 25. The reason for their premature deaths is that society discovered a cure for cancer and created a "perfect" generation of humans. The humans never contracted cancer or any lethal sickenss. But, perfection comes at a cost because the first generation of humans are unable to produce healthy children. The offspring of this chemically made human generation only live to be in their 20's because a virus kills them at the young age. So, in this world of short lives, women are captured to become wives to weatlhy men so that they can hopefully create healthy children and find a cure for the virus. Rhine is taken away from her home and forced into a caged life as one of three wives to a wealthy young man. Will she be able to break free and return to what was once her home? The second book "Fever" is supposed to be released in July 2011.
